Meet at the Park Store first for a brief presentation on Monarch butterfly life cycle and biology.
Presentation followed by participation in field survey of milkweed host plants, Monarch larvae and other insects in Monarch Larva Monitoring Project (MLMP) registered site.

Come for a fun afternoon of hands on introduction to geocaching for the whole family taught by a certified instructor. Learn about using a GPS or a free smartphone app to find “treasure” or “caches”.

The Photography Tours are 4-hours and will let the photographer catch the dusk light, which is the best light possible for afternoon photos. The tours will go through Fossil Rim's ~1700 acre pastures. These will be conducted at different times, depending on the time of year. Some months the tours may be from 3 pm till 7 pm and other months the tours may be from 4 pm till 8 pm. It will depend on when sunset is and this will vary from one month to the next.
